Welcome to my website and thank you for visiting.
I have worked as a trader since 1998, following an entire term at University in 1995.
I have been fortunate enough to work with some of the most talented, loyal and hard working salespeople and traders in London. This was the ultimate training ground in the late 1990's and it was this experience that enabled me to co-found Blue Index in 2001 at the age of 24.
I started this business from inside my home and led Blue Index for 8 years. It became the largest independent derivatives brokerage in the UK by 2007. It was also the first advisory CFD brokerage and the first to offer quality research to clients.
I have appeared regularly on Bloomberg, CNBC and the BBC for my views on world markets and investments over the years.
I was educated at the 1000 year old St Albans School in Hertfordshire but gained an alternative education by trading various items with teachers and school friends. I dealt in everything from discounted shirts and ties to designer jeans and trainers. I was the wholesalers youngest customer. The items were then sold on to my excited customers, many of whom were teachers. It became such a thriving enterprise that I was unable to fulfil my early academic promise.
Thankfully, one area where I was able to fulfil my promise, was snooker. Many an hour was spent practising inside the local club.
The rest of my time, I just wasted.
I purchased my first share in 1993, when the furniture retailer DFS floated on the London stock market. An investment of a cool £130 was many months of pocket money at the time.
Many more share deals followed, leading to daily dealing in options and eventually spread betting and CFDs. I was one of the few teenagers that always turned to the share prices listed inside the newspaper before anything else.
Since leaving the City in 2009, I have spent more time trying to improve my drawing and painting skills. My work now appears in several London galleries and I am pleased that there is demand for it. My work tends to be hyper realistic and quite contemporary.
I am an active investor in exciting businesses. I believe we are living in interesting times and that there are more opportunities for the brave investor today than at any other time in recent memory.
I am shorting the equity markets and buying gold, bitcoin, diamonds, water and tinned food.
